God is Doing a New Thing!

God is doing a new thing and we stand amazed. Metro Baltimore Seminary classes have resumed, and we marvel at specific answers to prayer:

·       God provided 14 new students for the new MBS @ Freedom Church site! Eight attended in person, and five attended on Zoom. God also provided teachers for the two classes (Old Testament Survey and Doctrine of Scripture).

·       We needed $20,000 for the renovation and scholarships for this site. BALM  received $10,000 from individuals and churches in addition to a $10,000 matching grant! We reached our goal! The renovations looked fabulous, the technology was in place, and new tables arrived.

 This new MBS@Freedom site is more convenient for many students. One new student from the Helping Up Mission long-term recovery and discipleship program took a bus and walked to class. Adding this second site doubles the number of students MBS can serve. MBS now enrolls 44 students!

What is the relationship between BALM and MBS?

1.     BALM is a strategic partner with MBS. BALM provides executive leadership support and sponsors the Church Planting and Renewal track and Urban Ministry track.

2.     Pastor Stan is Dean of Urban Ministry, and Pastor Craig is Dean of Church Planting and Renewal.

3.     BALM oversees operations for the MBS @ Freedom Church site.

4.     Craig and Stan teach New Testament Survey, Church History, Doctrine of the Church and Worship. 

The reason that MBS costs only $6,000 for an accredited MDIV degree versus $60,000 is because MBS has no salaried staff. Your support for BALM provides essential support for MBS.
